Using case studies, finance principles such as risk, return, cost of capital, net present value, and discount rate selection will be reviewed. Apply these concepts to the analysis of alternative lease structures, lease buyouts, and buy vs. lease decisions. Identify risk in portfolios and evaluate the impact on shareholder value. Perform financial analyses to identify the optimal decisions, quantify the impact of less than optimal decisions, identify inherent risk and recognize shortcomings.
